Thanks for the below info! Didn't know a Bachelor/ Masters could be completed with such low tuition too. I still wanted to take some accounting related courses though, even I work in the fashion industry, my work now involves some accounting and I would like to enhance my knowledge. I might not be determined to complete a Masters, so I might probably go with another Bachelor's first.

I hold a local university (Hong Kong) full time Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (general without specific major) - UK accredited & an advanced diploma in fashion design & products development - UK accredited. Guess I should send the transcripts of both to UMPI for evaluation first.

I aimed at getting the Associates as a 2nd degree at the beginning due to the much lower tuition. Thanks everyone for the valuable comments in this thread... it seems I should aim higher since there are so many ways to get a Bachelor's/ Masters with low tuition and just a few credits after getting exemptions.

When you have a non-US degree, you cannot just send your transcripts to UMPI. You must use a 3rd part evaluation service. WES and ECE are the most popular, for whatever reason, but they transcripts to be sent directly from the school. For some countries/schools, this isn't always easy/possible. If you can download official PDF copies of your transcript that can be verified through a link or QR code or something like that, ACEI ( https://acei-global.org/ ) seems to be the most open to that.

While waiting for the evaluation, you could start working on the required Sophia classes. I would say that you should take:
    Microeconomics
    Macroeconomics
Accounting (this is counted as Financial Accounting at UMPI)
    Business Law
    Introduction to Business
Principles of Finance (I'm not sure this is required by UMPI but should help with the basics of finance/accounting)
Communication at Work (this may or may not be required by UMPI but it's a quick course)
If you still have time left in your subscription, go ahead and take whatever else you want.

    At InstantCert, you could take:
    Managerial Accounting

As an odd quirk, UMPI supposedly considers you to be "enrolled" once you send in your transcripts. Once you are enrolled, you must get permission to bring in any outside classes. They seem to be pretty nice and reasonable about it but, IMO, it'd just be easier to not have to deal with that. Get your Sophia classes done ASAP so you can finish at UMPI as quickly and as easily as possible.

    Great post.

I'd like to add, a good thing about UMPI is that (according to Admissions) they will accept evaluations from any NACES evaluator, but the person I got information from did mention WES and only WES by name as an example of one to use. WES has a very strong hold, lol.

This is a little late, but proctoring at Ashworth is very easy. I completed my bachelor and master’s degree at Ashworth and I had no trouble concerning the proctoring process. I simply asked a Pastor I know to help, he agreed, and I did my final exams without issue. The school I work for uses Respondus and Proctorio, both of which are great applications to ensure academic integrity. In 2021, there is no reason for any online school not to have online proctoring in place, but for what it’s worth, if you are an Ashworth student, it should not be too difficult to locate a free proctor. Best of luck.
