Thank you! The course is completely in English, but I am trying to learn German in my spare time. German seems quite difficult though; I need to spend more time on it. I'm using the Duolingo app as a starting point.

Can you please remind me how much the scholarship is? I remember seeing that last year when I copy/pasted their info in this thread, but the link to the PDF now goes nowhere... I recall it was pretty affordable for this program and I kind of wanted to try them out as well! Thanks

Deutsch ist ja voll Schwierigkeiten, fast wie Englisch - aber auch voll Kultur, eine sehr gute Sprache. (Alle Sprachen sind gut.)

When I applied it was 85% off the price, but I see on their website it is now 66%. Overall, I am going to pay just under 3000 euros over the 24 month period.

    Hey Seylan,
I was looking for information on IUBH as well and came across your post.
I was wondering about what your general impression is so far and whether you are happy with your decision

Just as a note: IUBH has changed its name a few months ago to IU - International University of Applied Sciences.

Like Kinjal, I'm also super curious. I'm doing my MS in Data Science. Of course AI is part of that, and I'm always looking to supplement my learning.

Oh yeah, this school. Made me look them up again, they're offering a $3333 Euro discount, that will drop the program down to roughly $6-$7,000 Euro?

Hey Dustin is it possible to connect with you outside this portal.
My plan is to get into data analysis after anyway...
Maybe I can ask you a few questions as well

Sorry for the late reply. I decided to deregister from the program a few months after I joined. I did about 3 courses and felt it was a waste of time.
    • From the courses I did, I felt that the learning material was very insufficient. There were no lecture videos. I would have learned more from watching Youtube videos or doing more courses on Coursera/EdX
    • I thought that the structure and overall organization of the courses were poor. Everything seemed like it was put together in a rush.
Perhaps others might have had a better experience but I was happy with my decision to unenroll.

    Hi seylan,
    Thanks for writing back.
    Are you studying elsewhere?
    What would you suggest?

This is not the first time I hear exactly that kind of complain about IUBH / IU. Quite a few complains on the German-speaking part of the internet claim the same.

Can you post the German-speaking website?

One German-speaking website with complains is this one: https://www.fernstudium-direkt.de/iu-fernstudium
And here is a second example (However, that link only lists one star reviews for that school): https://de.trustpilot.com/review/iubh-fernstudium.de?stars=1

There is also fernstudium-infos.de, that's a German counterpart to degreeinfo.com. You may find this thread interesting (Google translation) : https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=de&tl=en&u=https://www.fernstudium-infos.de/topic/18524-wegfall-des-offiziellen-teams-kanals-und-kritik-an-der-iu/

I also had an interesting experience with this university. Saw this offer and applied. Immediately received an automatically generated contract with the price of EUR14,000. Replied asking how 110x24 equals 14K, they sent me a new contract for EUR 7,500.

Seems like they are just making up the prices + false advertisement - not how a credible school operates. Should I keep bargaining and see how low they will go?

Where did you see an offer for 110x24?

I say to keep prodding. They're legitimate, even if not credible, and if you get the cost low enough it could be worth considering.

Yes, please! Try to bargain more. I also considered their Robotics degree, so if they can offer a low cost, I would take it.

Now they told me I might be eligible for 50% off, still very different from the advertised price.
