I sent in the application on Sunday and received an email on Monday that the application was being processed for the scholarship. One line from the email was interesting:

"I have attached the MBA flyer for reference in reviewing courses. Upon review of your transcripts and resume you will have the opportunity to waive 3 of your course requirements." - Dean Martin

So it appears to me that it is not just transcripts being reviewed for course waivers, but also resume experience.

It would just be transcripts reviewed for college credit. Work experience does not count towards college credit and thats the case in most colleges / universities. This is a master's level program so highly doubt they will accept real life experience for course waivers / credit.

I didn't read the course descriptions but I know in some other MBA's I looked at they had pre-requisite things like Economics and a couple of other courses that they expected people to have had in undergrad or "through relevant experience" that could be waived - but those were prerequisites and not part of the total MBA course program.

The prerequisites are usually waived they will only give credit for graduate credits taken prior with similar requirements.

I'm excited that someone is going to do this program. I've had some exchanges with Dean Martin and he said he will keep me in the loop for any future offers like this for 2021 - I just can't take on the commitment right now. I wish I could.

Small update, the dean is considering allowing summer 2021 start times in June.

I got a response from the Dean. The $3000 offer stands for me as well. Yay!

I might have to consider renaming a certain thread to "The Short, Fast Game".

Can I just say: I love this board. I know it's not as active as others on this topic, but if I didn't post here I would never have learned about Eastern or Quantic. I wouldn't have believed a PhD by distance is within my grasp. I wouldn't feel anywhere near as confident helping my kids pick their own college when the time comes. You guys rock.

Same here. I've been around a long time at this point, but I still learn things here all the time.

I love this board too. And yes, some of us literally do rock (as per my pseudonym). :)

Got sent my tuition payment letter today by email , Program is only going to cost me $3000. Two options of payment $1500 at the start of your first class and then $1500 more in 9 months or $750 every 3 months. Doesn't seem like financial aid is offered for this program if you receive the scholarship.

Since I saw this deal I dropped the classes I was planning to take. Does anybody have information about the syllabuses of the courses?
    Thanks!

The syllabus for each class will be available to you the week before the class starts, if it's on your schedule.
