That's cool - I wish I had the time and energy to take advantage of this - it is seriously the cheapest MBA I think I have ever come across - and the fact that is from a regionally accredited school makes it just about an unbeatable opportunity.

Totally agree with you. It was on my bucket list, I am going to see if they will accept some transfer credits as well. I saw they accept up to 9 transfer credits for the MBA program. This is a steal either way as it is hard to come across a regionally accredited MBA for this price. Only problem I see is the lack of AACSB accreditation but it is still a steal in my eyes. Better then getting a nationally accredited or non accredited school's MBA.
Appreciate you sharing the find and hopefully I can get admitted into the program.

AACSB is really only beneficial for a small set or large employers and then a large portion of colleges/universities. If you have no desire to teach business courses in an AACSB Accredited business school, then you are fine.

This seems like a pretty good program at an amazing discount, I think it won't really matter if it is "AACSB" or if it gets "ACBSP". I assume most people would also think it's a similar program to any small 4 year college or university. Just like any "regular" post secondary institution. If it's not really well known, not many people will care if it has the additional programmatic/secondary accreditation, it'll be treated the same way as the smaller institutions...

    WHAT?!?!?!

I was looking at this school for the Applied Linguistics program and didn't give the MBA even a moment of thought. That's an insane deal.

It's too bad we're just learning of it now. Only a couple of days left! But, even though I was so sure of my plans I'm the other thread, this is a hard one to let slip by...

LookS like you just have to get the application in and they will honor the deadline, you can submit official paperwork later.

You can still apply if you email the dean to start the process by February 1, 2021 and provide unofficial transcripts, resume, cover letter, a picture (headshot) and your ID. You can start classes by taking one class on March 29th

NO! NO! You can't change your mind at this juncture. I mean you can! But you can't! Can you?!

Just to clarify. This MBA program is $3k per semester for 2 semesters? $6k total?

No its 3k for the whole program. doesn't matter how long it takes you to finish as long as you take one class a semester

I'm glad someone could take advantage of this - I spent all of 2019 on my M.S. as it was an accelerated program, it took up pretty much all my evenings and weekends and I just don't think I could commit to a program right now. I hope they offer something like this again , or other small schools look into things like this. I hope you are successful and I hope you will share your experiences here - as I am curious as to how it all works out!

RA MBA with a 3K price tag can't go wrong per se

Well... I applied. I hope I'm not too late, but I sent them a separate email basically begging to give me the same leniency others in this thread have been given.

My employer reimbursement doesn't kick in until September, but this MBA's price is so low that I didn't want to pass it up and kick myself for not even trying. I might have to start the first class or two out of pocket, which would not be so bad, then use my employer's reimbursement to take care of 80% of the rest of the cost. By my calculations, I'd be spending about $1k less out of pocket if I did this MBA than the Amberton MS, and I'd be able to finish this MBA much sooner since I'd be able to complete more courses in for my reimbursement cap of $2k per year.

The biggest challenge will be starting much earlier than I had anticipated. Also, I've been really excited about the Amberton program due to how interesting and unique it is. Knowing me, however, I'll always worry that I made the wrong call and am missing out. *sigh*

If it helps, in this case I'd say that with the options you've considered, including this one, you basically can't go wrong.

I've looked all over the web and I can't find anything even close to the affordability of this program. I remember when I found my M.S. program - it was also by accident - web searches are so skewed that finding out about a program at a smaller, little known school is almost impossible! Usually when you do find one, these are schools affiliated with specific religious denominations - but I think they are an overlooked resource. The closest I could find to this cost were some Nationally accredited MBAs for about $5000 or so. I wouldn't be surprised if they offer this program again in the fall, although they seem to be rather flexible right now - they just want you to sign up. :)

Amity University has an RA MBA for about the same price (Last I remember, that is. I'm having some trouble finding the current fees page.), and Liverpool John Moores University has a $3500 MBA through upgrad, which seems to be a weird MOOC-based top-up thing where most of the courses are taught from a university in India.

Amity costs about $1250 per semester so total around ~$5k. You can scroll down on this page to "Fee Structure" and change the currency to "USD":

Having said that, I suggest caution in general with the Indian universities, as they are not used to foreign students, and student service may not be comparable to US or UK schools. Also, Amity seems to follow a MOOC-based approach just like the upgrad/LJMU.

Just a quick update, I was able to have my transcripts reviewed and got them to accept 9 transfer credits which is the max. If you have graduate credits have them review your transcript could save you some time and less classes.

That's great! Will it reduce the cost of the program at all, or is the cost still fixed because of the huge discount (which they are calling a "scholarship rate")?

It would not reduce the cost because its a flat $3,000 for the program but it does save you time and less classes to take as each class is 7 weeks long.
