There's one opinion that he did not incite the riot. There are many more that that think he did including many in the GOP, that prior to January 6th supported the President.

The Trump web of lies is starting to unravel a bit. Although I accept that you are still fully enveloped. There was no widespread voter fraud.

One opinion posted here, there are more. But I'm far from being a professional in the legal field so all I can is share opinions of other experienced professionals.

As to enveloped, I think all you are focusing is what Trump said.
I was focusing what witnesses and people who reported and saw fraud have to say. If legal teams failed to represent them adequately its a problem
But in no way all these people are lying, some possibly but not all.
As to me I stated before that I accept what W Barr had to say on this matter. So I'm 80% /20 %.
The 20% still suspects irregularities of some sort.

So when will all the pardons occur? I mean pardons for family friends and self? If Pence won't go along with it then I'll guess they all happen on the same day, maybe January 19? If Pence goes along then a day or two before that? We're getting close! It would be fun if he picked the same day that he is impeached. Lots of exploding heads, many busy news days in our near future.

Trump likely won't trouble to pardon the people who broke into the Capitol building. As for the rest, he will dangle the possibility in order to secure loyalty to the bitter end.

Something that I'm interested in is how well Donald Trump's web of lies stays together for his core supporters. He apparently won't have Twitter anymore. The Republican establish won't be so accommodating weakening that reinforcement to his web of lies. Fox News will start straying before too long, I'll guess. He'll have Newsmax and OANN on his leash though. The most important lie I think he has to maintain is that there was widespread election fraud. There are Trump core supporters that will probably feel very betrayed on that one if/when they learn the truth?

I think the challenges of life and the future will be on peoples mind.
I'm not good in predicting the future, but I feel the next few months will be challenging for many.

Only if they believe it. And it's human nature not to believe something if it means admitting past error.

That's an excellent point. He won't be in the news nearly so much and people will just be a little less interested in politics on both sides.

Trump will finish out his term by breaking a few records. He breaks the record for never being above 50% approval rating. He also breaks the record for finishing his term at the lowest approval rating in history at only 29%. It looks like he did keep his promise that people would get tired of his whining too much. (Or was that winning too much? Now I forget.) Which by the way is just another simple indicator that he is a loser fair and square in this election.

Here is the real thought that I wanted to express. Let's say that Trump really believes all of his own lies and conspiracy theories about the election being stolen. If he had any respect for his office or love for our country, he would have still accepted the reality that Biden was the President-elect and conceded the election for the good of the country months ago. The January 6th insurrection and the riots are all caused by him because he didn't do this. Why hasn't he done this? The obvious answer is that he is a little man that can only wallow in his own self pity. Which means that he really is the biggest sore loser in the world.

I am most concerned about the growth of the the anti-democratic authoritarian Right. These people want to end the American experiment in self governance. No less than that. The level of alienation is frightening.

From the reporting I've seen, it seems that a good percentage of the more militant rioters seem to be racist. Those folks just seem to have higher priorities than democracy. Although thinking about it a bit more I guess that is just true for the whole bunch?
