Mississippi College offers a comprehensive clinically oriented doctorate in professional counseling which is not CACREP accredited as is the research oriented Ph.D in Education and Supervision.

Anyone have familiarity with the quality of education at Mississippi College and/or the DPC program?

I guess it's ideal for someone who wants to add "Dr." to their name. It's for licensed professionals but they could possibly teach as well but maybe not in a CACREP accredited school. Even online for-profit such as Walden and Capella have CACREP accreditation. As for the question you asked, I have no answer lol

So your wife completed the DPC program? How long did it take your wife to complete the program? Did she complete a final project or a clinical case study?

    Thanks.

Tireman thank you for the feedback.

As you know, this school's religious orientation is Southern Baptist. Did your wife find the doctoral courses she completed to incorporate Baptist teachings?

What was the evaluation method used to measure your wife's learning for each course?

Its interesting that even with a lot of courses transferred into the program that it took your wife three years to finish the degree program. Did your wife transfer in around thirty credits, or more? Did she attend the program full or part time?

Currently, a Clinical Case Study was substituted for the Project of Excellence. Did your wife's final project take a significant amount of time to complete? Was she required to take a comprehensive exam in addition to the final project?

    Thank you again. Jan
