You'll have to check that with universities... every university has a different policy.

Rule 1: Maniac is always right.
Rule 2: If in doubt, refer to Rule 1.

My point is that I would be surprised if any university accepted things in transfer when on Excelsior's OneTranscript transcript that they did not accept in transfer otherwise.

Oh, I could find you one, Steve. One that takes ANY transcript - or doesn't even need one. Maybe in the Pacific, maybe Panama, maybe Pakistan -- definitely Cyberspace. But as you say, not likely a US school that's accredited - or wants to be -- ever. :)

Depends on the university. For many schools it is still a human driven process to evaluate individual coursework and if something looks good, it's good to go. Anytime someone tells me that they got credits accepted by an RA school from Trinity (Newburgh), for example, I generally consider it to be the result of a lazy registrar unless it was an obviously evangelical institution that might just allow that sort of thing (like Regent with LBU).

By the way, I sent an email to Univ. of North Texas to figure out how many credits you can earn by completing Coursera Google IT Certificate program.
They said, it will give me 12 lower division credits!
    https://www.coursera.org/professional-certificates/google-it-support

So once you complete this certificate, you'll have 78 more credits to transfer (120 minus 30 Univ. N Texas credits minus 12 Google IT credits).
Also, Google IT certificate will add 'concentration in IT' to your degree.

Now it's only left to figure out if they accept study.come ACE credits. Then it'll be super easy to finish this degree.

It's been my understanding that, for transfer credit, one must send transcripts from the original source of each set of credits.

The problem in this matter is when schools accept credits in transfer, they do not list the ones they didn't accept (because they weren't applicable, or the grades were too low, or the test scores were insufficient, etc.) Receiving schools don't want a laundered transcript with all one's previous failures washed away. They want the whole picture.

Now, getting a school to accept, say, and Excelsior transcript to prove your Excelsior degree used as a prerequisite for entry into a higher degree program would be normal. But not just to transfer undergraduate credits to another undergraduate degree program. (Credits earned specifically at Excelsior would transfer via transcript, of course.)

I found transfer credit info page on University of North Texas B.A.A.S. site:
    https://baas.unt.edu/future-students/credit-prior-learning-and-prior-learning-assessments

They list ACE (American Council on Education) credit as one of the credits they accept.
I'm still trying to figure out if they accept study.com ACE credits. If they do, then yeah, you guys will be able to finish this program within 10 months.

They allow you to take more than 3 courses (12 credits) per 8-week-long semester.

Wow - this potentially makes UNT a great option for undergrad degree completion! If they accept Sophia ACE credits, I might be tempted.

Yes, you can get up to 15 ACE credits per month on study.com
In 6 months, you can get full 90 transferable credits.

Their 2-month-long semester can give you max 15 credits each. So in the next four months, you can get the remaining 30 Univ. of North Texas credits and graduate!

I think this can take 10 months to a year. You have to discuss with Univ. of North Texas academic advisor to figure out which study.com or Sophia ACE credit courses you can transfer towards this program.

Obviously, this is only possible given that you never fail any of study.com proctored exam!

So...I'm not sure if ya'll are aware of this...but ACE does send out transcripts.

Many people have them sent out directly by the course provider and go at it that way. Military SMART transcripts typically come directly from the military. But you can request any ACE recommended course be added to an ACE transcript which ACE sends out to a school of your choosing. I did it with one of my certifications back when it was recommended (CEBS, maybe?). It makes the source less of an issue than the fact that what joins all of your coursework together is ACE. It's a nice service and it separates ACE from NCCRS in that respect.

I found University of North Texas require 60 credits to be completed at an accredited community college. This includes online community college like Excelsior College.
So you'll have to take basic courses at Excelsior... ExcelU exams can be a good option then.

It's a bummer... because ExcelU exams should be taken at Pearson testing centers.

It could be that many of these 'degree completion' programs require basic courses to be completed at an accredited community college.

Online Associate's degree programs don't require community college credits. Maybe it's best to get an online associate's degree and then transfer into one of these degree completion programs.

Probably a good move. 2 degrees - can't see how that does any harm. You need a job to get a job. You need a car to get a car, etc. Maybe you need an online degree to get an online degree. That way, at least you get a reward on the way to your destination.

Oh I realized Excelsior is not a community college. You may need to find some other online community colleges to work with.

New Mexico has a good network of CCs - many distance programs, individual courses and pretty low tuition rates. Clovis, Rio Salado and the ten or so colleges of the Maricopa network are all popular choices. I've read it's a good spot for Associate degrees OR "I need 3 credits in..." situations.

He included that as one of two new songs to his greatest hits album. Those two songs were, I assume they thought, to get people who already owned the first three albums to buy this one, too. (Yes, it worked!)
