    Hello!

Either way, those programs would be a GREAT opportunity to poke fun of students. "You actually PAID to enroll in this program? For information which you could have gotten for free on a good MOOC platform? You fail. By default."
    :)

    Best regards,

Haha! You're right, but let's look at it another way. MOOC courses in financial literacy won't allow you to secure the job that requires a bachelor's degree in financial management or even to become a CFP or those other designations. Even if you can get those designations through work experience, having an undergraduate or graduate degree usually lessen the time required to obtain the certification. Financial literacy is perhaps the best subject for young people to learn and I am happy that is one of the subjects I teach at the high school level.

Aren't financial literacy and financial management two very different things?

Depending on the context. I teach financial management and the course has nothing to do with managing finances in a business context. The textbook I use is Managing Your Personal Finances by Ryan & Ryan. I know most schools refer to this course as financial literacy but still, it's teaching you how to manage finances, hence (personal) financial management is also appropriate. Each year when they are creating the course selection catalog, I get an opportunity to make changes to the course such as its description and so on. So, I think I will actually change the course name for 2021-22. Maybe Personal Finance or Financial Literacy.

The Certified Kingdom Advisor® (CKA) provides a principled class of Christian financial advisors who have been trained in biblically wise financial advice to men and women seeking biblically wise financial counsel.

I had no ideas CKA existed until I checked the Liberty programs.
