    Hi!

I’m looking for a bachelors in education, with maybe a concentration of biology or any science? I know WGU exists but I was wondering if there were more options out there?

If there aren’t any other options that’s fine I just wanted to see what’s out there. Online is the only option for me right now. Thanks!

So I had to reach way back into the closet so I could bring out the Bachelors in Science Education from Indian River State College

I think if you bounce around in there a bit you'll see they have, among other concentrations, a science ed concentration. BTW, when you're doing your google search you'll get better results using "science education" or "life sciences education" as search terms. Good luck!

    Hi, Kayla.

I'm an old biology major and here in California, and in many other US states as far as I know, prospective biology teachers typically complete a bachelors in biology with a teaching emphasis. The state single-subject/credentialling requirements for prospective high-school teachers demand that a whole set of specified classes be taken, and the teaching emphasis is designed around providing them.

So my suggestion is to look at the teaching-credential requirements for biology teachers wherever you anticipate teaching, then look for a program that meets those requirements. It will probably be a biology degree rather than an education degree. But maybe not.

Does anyone know about or heard of ASU online educational studies? I was thinking of that and having a minor in biology? Was originally thinking of bio in general with ASU but heard some bad things and they weren’t taking certain credits I wanted.

does anyone know of anywhere I can get an opinion on that program? Or advice from people in it?

ASU is a big online operation. A solid brand with decent name recognition. It's not the cheapest but they offer lots of degree programs. Don't be unduly concerned if you hear some bad things. There are disgruntled former students of every university and they all love to tell their tales of woe. In my mind I liken it to SNHU
