Absolutely agree. This is a very important distinction as some employers may require strictly EE degree for some positions.
I think its an accomplishment for DEAC accredited school to earn ABET ETAC accreditation. And since this school is military-friendly, graduates from this degree program will enjoy increased recognition because of the ABET ETAC accreditation.

Also in some states of the US such as NM, an ABET ETAC -accredited EET degree qualifies one to take FE and PE exams to become a licensed Professional Engineer. Yet this is a limitation as there are states that don't accept EET degrees
for licensure.
Based on Sydney accord - qualifies one to apply for registration in accord signee countries as an Engineering Technologist, or Chartered Engineering Technologist, given other requirements are met, etc.

In the US NICET recognizes EET degree for registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist at two levels.
Associate Engineering Technologist (AT)
Certified Engineering Technologist (CT)

Technologist certification requires a four-year degree in an ABET-accredited Engineering Technology program. An engineering degree will NOT be considered as a substitute.
