No more high cost textbooks!

    Unfortunately, no. Have had some bad experiences with sharing and still trying to work around those issues.

    It is always the students that suffer. Some economists say OpenStax and other OER producers helped to halt the decades-long rise of textbook prices, which, along with other supplies, now set the average undergraduate back between $1,200 and $1,440 each school year, according to the College Board.

    The body of knowledge for any subject is already there, why are students being overcharged to acquire in book like packages.

    Incidentally, "outdated" college texts are a great way to prepare for CLEP & DANTES exams.

    Every time I teach a class, I'll get at least a couple of students who ask if they can use the previous (or older) editions of the assigned text. I never have a problem with it, and have yet to have any issues with those students.
