Texila American University -is it legitimate?

I'm not sure I'd consider that a selling point.

 

I'm not sure I would either. IADL has affiliated with The Institute of Management Specialists, among others. But I guess Texila American University has it's reasons.

That's true, and a school can of course use the services of several agents. Texila American University is listed as a partner institution of Diamond Training International, which, although located in Nigeria, probably is active in Ghana as well. I've posted info about DTI before, on another forum, to a thread about a university that disagrees with me, so to speak, so all I'm going to say is that assuming that DTI really has partnered with the institutions on the list, they certainly represent different types of universities.

As per my research on whether Texila American University is Accredited or not. Here is some information that I would like to share with you.

Top-ranked University in Guyana

This University is listed under many of the approving bodies like

National Accreditation Council of Guyana (NAC)

Medical Council of India (MCI)

World Directory of Medical Schools (WDMS)

Any university is said to be accredited if it meets all the conditions necessary to offer the particular program. To be honest, very few universities get this privilege of being accredited by all the accreditation bodies.

Texila American University is in South America. So, the students enroll in this institution should look for some of the major accreditations like:

Can they go to the USA – What are the requirements and how can it be fulfilled? Texila allows its students to write the USMLE Exams and the institution isECFMG approved.

Can they come back and practice in their home country? - Yes, they can. as it is recognized by WDMS and is listed in MCI too.

Just to make sure I had also checked in their recognitions and simultaneously checked for the same in relevant approving bodies. These were the links mentioned above which I could gather.

Texila American University has tie-ups with many other Universities as well. hence Accreditation and recognitions will not be a problem.
