We have had a few different treads on free and open textbooks. Should we consolidate the many threads on free texts then do a sticky similar to thread on the free courses? Free texts should be the next education revolution. It makes sense, most disciplines have a well-defined body of knowledge.
It would be interesting to know how common or unusual the price increases of textbooks in the US are compared to other countries, especially compared to other developed countries.
