North Carolina Election Fraud

The strongest case that voter fraud is real and substantial enough to change the results of an election is happening in North Carolina, but the perpetrators are not who the Republicans have been saying they are. The perpetrator in this case is the GOP!

North Carolina has strong voter ID laws, but that didn't stop a major case of election fraud. North Carolina did make it easier to vote by absentee ballot, which is favored by Republican voters. A contractor, paid by Republican candidate, Mark Harris, carried out an absentee get-out-the-vote campaign. It is alleged that, during the absentee ballot drives, workers for the contractor collected unsigned and unsealed absentee ballots and delivered them to election officials, which is still against the law.

The Democratic candidate in the House race and Marine veteran, Dan McCready, has withdrawn his concession. He only lost by 905 votes, and voting irregularities have been identified. It is believed that other North Carolina races have been tainted by this same type of fraud.

North Carolina has just passed voter ID laws, and they were no in place for this election. Hopefully they will be in the next one.

How is that going to stop GOP candidates from changing and throwing away people's absentee ballots?

I live in the 9th district. Since moving to the NC / SC border in 2012, I've never met a Democrat. Back in 2016, I didn't even see a Clinton sign. Not one (and this is a big place). The Carolinas bleed red - no two ways about it. This same election just changed our state's constitution to include the right to hunt and fish and the state's preferred means of wildlife control. No one wants fraud or tampering.

Apparently, the elderly black voters in rural South North Carolina usually vote Democratic, which is the case all over the South. They really aren't the type to put out election signs. This consulting firm was collecting absentee ballots from them.

Considering that the Democratic candidate only lost by 905 votes, even with the fraud, there must be a good number of people there who either do vote for Democrats or flipped this midterm. Keep in mind that the Democrats have flipped 40 House seats mainly with the help of college-educated white women in the suburbs who have changed their mind about the president. They even flipped the entirety of Orange County in California, which has been reliably red for decades.

Serious accusations. Am I right that the accusations are coming from Republicans?

My district has been Republican since 1963 (I looked it up). I live in Charlotte, but our district splits my county, so I'm only BARELY in the district. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Has the illegitimate president said anything about this very real ballot fraud?

No, but Mitch McConnell has ( I am just reporting..)

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell used the North Carolina race to criticize Democrats on Tuesday. He conflated the election fraud allegations against Dowless — which involved people who work for him collecting and sending in empty or incomplete absentee ballots — with fraud carried out by the voters themselves.

"We were hit with left-wing talking points insisting that voter fraud wasn't real. 'Never happens,' they said. That fraud just didn't happen," McConnell said. "That modest efforts to ensure that voters are who they say they are and are voting in a proper place were really some sinister right-wing plot to prevent people from voting."

Democrats have indeed criticized Republican voter identification efforts as an effort to disenfranchise Americans, particularly minority voters. A federal appeals court struck down one GOP voter identification law in North Carolina in 2016, which it said would "target African-Americans with almost surgical precision." The Supreme Court declined to reinstate it in 2017.

Yeah, and this isn't a case of voter fraud. It's an orchestrated case of ballot fraud. A voter ID law would have done nothing to prevent this. I guess since African Americans couldn't be targeted with a voter ID law, Dowless decided to change their absentee ballots instead.
