    Hello,

I live in Texas and want to pursue an affordable online MBA with a focus in marketing. Currently deciding between Texas A&M-Commerce vs West Texas A&M. Both are AACSB accredited and comparable in price. Can anyone give me any insight on either of them which might give one an edge over the other? Any help is really appreciated! Thanks!

    Hello Veem!

I had considered Texas A&M-Commerce for my MBA but Southeastern Oklahoma State University was located 45 minutes away therefore I chose there. I have heard great things about TAMU-C and in fact, one of my professors has their MBA from TAMU-C.

They are both good enough schools. Any preference is bound to be purely subjective. Go with the cheaper of the two. Go with the one that has the best women's soccer team. Go with the one who has the school colors that go well with your eyes.

This is a pretty good summary. At the end of the day, in my opinion, every MBA is similar unless you go to a top university. At the end of the day, it is how the person uses the degree that matters. Choosing between AACSB-Accredited programs is a good problem to have.

Thanks guys! I'm leaning toward TAMU-C right now. I just need an MBA that's accredited, local(ish), not crazy expensive, and gives me the flexibility I need (online) since I'm not quitting my job to pursue one full-time. If you know of other schools free to drop the names. I plan on starting in the fall so Im trying to weight all my options.

I will recommend Southeastern Oklahoma State University until I turn blue in the face. It has been a phenomenal program and one of my fellow classmates recently got a finance job at Boeing in Oklahoma City.
