    Good afternoon.

Upon further review, VetInTech is legit. (First-hand testimony)

I participated in their cybersecurity training delivered in partnership with Palo Alto Networks in Santa Clara, CA this past week (August 6-10).

(I'm one of those weird people who likes to try things for themselves.)

Thanks for sharing your weird little trick. ;)

Do you feel it prepared you for anything in particular? Or would have if not already prepared?

    Good evening.

I feel the training was excellent, if someone is trying to get started in cybersecurity, especially if someone is interested in network security.

There was substantial support from the company, and it felt like they were sincerely there to help veterans. The primary focus of the training was obviously on the Palo Alto Networks products, but there was also contributions from company recruiters and other staff who provided tips on how to get the inside tracks with a company [hint: contact vets that work at your target company, and get them to submit you, as it's a win-win situation when they get the referral fee, and they can be an inside advocate for you]. Also, they spoke of the optimal time to apply to a company [near the end/beginning of a fiscal year]. Also, the recruiter instructed us in how the recruiters read the job requisitions and compare them to resumes.

The instructor was a veteran, several of the company staff that came by to speak in class were either veterans, or married to veterans. The recruiters from the company are requesting resumes from everyone who was in the class, and one of the speakers who came by the class was a company employee who had taken the same class back in December of 2017.

I liked it so much, I posted about it on LinkedIn, here:

Needless to say, I recommend that others take advantage, if they get the opportunity.
