This course is designed for someone to get their UK Amateur Radio License. If you are interested in getting your US one, there are numerous HAM radio clubs around the country that offer classes for free. You can find a club at Clubs. There are also numerous online study guides like https://hamstudy.org/ or https://hamexam.org/ .

Most wonderful hobby EVER! (I was first licensed in 1969 and am still active.)

I got stuck in Kauai because of hurricane Iniki. Our only way to communicate with the other islands and the mainland was via a team of ham operators.
