Steve, btw, I hate to disrupt your idiosyncratic beliefs regarding my allegedly being hostile towards posters who possess a doctorate or are attempting to obtain one, but I admire anyone who has achieved such an accomplishment, such as Me Again and Steve Forester. What I don't respect are posters who use their doctorate to bully and put down others. Of course I'm not referring to you because you are my mentor, who has stated will place me on the right track. You're my hero. I especially admire how you are utilizing your doctorate driving a truck cross country. Hopefully I will follow in your steps. (Lollllllllll).

You don't have to answer every single question. You just demonstrated that you're more interested in complaining about suggestions than receiving assistance. If you had done at least a little bit of research, you would know that some of the cheapest places for online programs are in-state, public universities and public universities that participate in an academic common market in your region. That was the purpose of the state question which people with normal temperaments usually have no problem with answering. You wasted other people's time long before I posted anything in this thread. My feelings aren't the least bit hurt; I'm just annoyed that I wasted my time on someone who is demanding of free help and unappreciative. It took I don't know how many posts to even get you to consider University of the Cumberlands. People should have just ignored you after the first page.

I probably would have had some affordable, secular suggestions for you, but I'm only interested in helping people who don't have such bad attitudes. You're so busy insulting people when you're not even capable of finding the right program on your own. I hope you develop better research skills in whatever doctoral program you choose and can get in to.

I'm really starting to wonder whether this Jan person is even real. This has been the most bizarre thread I can recall in a long time on this forum. Is it not conceivable that this is a fake account and someone is just trying to mess with us?

Have you noticed how Jan cannot avoid being baited? How he or she hasn't learned the art of letting things die down by ignoring them?

I can only think of one other person on this forum who lets his buttons get pushed that easily.

Perhaps, just perhaps, Jan's real name is Rich.

Think about it - the theory is so absurd that it might, it just might, be the explanation for this rather bizarre thread.

All I can say, both to and about Jan, is . . .
    Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha! :sly:

Sanatone. Get a grip on yourself. Your rants are inappropriate and are not showing me up as some sort of ogre but revealing how when you don't get your way you go off on these attacking rants. Is this the way you react to your clients when they don't jump to their feet when you order them to? I hope not.

Have you noticed how Steve doesn't practice what he preaches and hasn't learned the art of letting things die down by ignoring them? (LOL). Steve, I have to hand it to you. You possess a remarkable level of insight about your behavior that I'm in total awe. Can you help me develop a similar level of insight? Thanking you in advance. Your mentee, Jan (LOL)

It has been alleged that there is hazing in some doctoral programs, which may be partially responsible for the extraordinarily high attrition rate.

Dr. Levicoff has been a valuable and hilarious contributor for a long time. Dr. Levicoff, thank you for explaining which hotspot provider is best. In the future, we will probably see a lot more hotspot providers as the entire world goes online. In fact, there may come a time when every laptop is a hotspot.

AVBR, I realize that you enjoy engaging in conspiratorial speculation and I really don't wish to engage in any further of your nonsensical accusations but I initiated this thread with good intent which unfortunately was "highjacked", or if you prefer, derailed, by posters such as you and a couple of other posters. Just for the record.

Me again, I recall when I and several other students started our doctoral program one of the faculty members, who was to be our mentor, stated to two other faculty in our presence, "These folks don't know what we have in store for them". This condescending comment turned us off, especially due to the fact that I administratively supervised not only Ph.D level staff but MDs as well.

It gets better. I approached one of the faculty during the early stage of my doctoral program and inquired as to whether he would be available to mentor me on a project I was involved in. He responded that he was unavailable due to high demand and that I should seek out other faculty, which in fact I did successfully. Unexpectedly, this same faculty approached me shortly after I selected another faculty and inquired as to why I didn't fight harder to get him aboard my project. I looked at this guy cockeyed, with all his pathology, and just walked away without saying a word.

So at this stage in life, my tolerance for " hazing" or whatever other term is used to describe this level of BS, is limited.

My clients are felons, and most of them are appreciative and have better attitudes than you do. You seem to be in the minority concerning who is being inappropriate. Get my way? What are you even talking about? You're the one who is asking for help, and you are the one who is projecting. Look at the way you threw a fit when you didn't get the answers you wanted.

Sanatone, anything you say. You obviously know what you're talking about and I don't. Your insight is too much for me to handle.
