Hello all. I'm a member but have not posted... Well, I was accepted into the LLM Information Technology Law program. The US Department of Education FASFA school code and everything was given to me and I added The University of Edinburgh. I just got a letter telling me the program does not qualify for US Student financial aid. Can somebody please help me out. Do you know anything about the validity of the point? Somebody seems to be unfamiliar with the process.

How does it have a FASFA? Wouldn't it have to be a RA or NA school to get federal funding?

If it's a distance learning program, then you can't get federal financial aid for it. The reason it's available as a school you can select is for students who will attend on campus.

True. I was just dredging this up while Steve was posting.

"An educational program offered by a foreign school is not an eligible program for purposes of federal student aid if it is provided by correspondence or distance education in whole or in part."

    It's from here: https://ifap.ed.gov/ForeignSchoolInfo/attachments/FSFAQsStudents.pdf
