It's been so long since I have updated my resume that I still have it saved on a floppy disk. Can someone recommend a really easy to use fill in the blank resume template?

    Thanks! I would appreciate it.

Today's resume's don't look like it did years ago. Gone are the silly Objective and references section. They know your objective, and they know references are available upon request.

I have a good Accomplishments based resume (written in the STAR method) that has gotten me tons of call backs and interviews. I don't want to post it online because I don't want people to steal it, but if you send me a PM, I'll send it to you.

If not, I'll give a few pointers.
1st, take out the two things above (objective and references).
2nd, take out your mailing address, consider replacing with social media link.
3rd, start with a summary. This can be in bullet or paragraph format, just a brief elevator pitch on who you are and what you do.
4th, place a skills section, can be a table or bulleted, but any skills relevant to the job (i.e. MS Officer, Supervision, C++, etc). This should be on the top third of your resume.
5th, place your education if you have college education. This flies in the face of conventional resume writing.
6, place a section called "highlights", or "career highlights", or something to that affect. place bulleted accomplishments written in the STAR method (look it up). Just a few, maybe four, over MULTIPLE jobs.
7, place your experience. job title, company, location, date, followed by a paragraph of what your responsibilities were.
8, Format with a readable font (sans serif types) and Spell check. then read it, then read it backwards, then have someone else read it. no ERRORS allowed. Also consider ample white space and consider limiting to only 1-2 pages if possible.
