    Greetings,
These questions have been asked before and I've searched for the answers, but am not able to locate them.

*Solely using CLEP and other tests (not yet taking into consideration portfolio assessment) which school is best to apply if acquiring a BA quickly is the goal?

*Which major should one choose if one is basing it solely upon expediency and not as a matter of interest, profession or vocation?

Please don't judge, I'm merely trying to re-acquire the answers and work my way toward where I ultimately want to be. I have extenuating circumstances.

    Thanks,
    Bantockesq

Hopefully by now you've found our CLEP forum

CLEP, DANTES, and Other Exams for Credit

You'll find most of what you need there. You'll also see that we have a few resident experts on this topic and they can be very helpful. I even heard this crazy rumor that there's another site that specializes in that topic (I know . . . like there really could be another site . . .) So do some homework and then ask more questions. That's why we're here.
(thousands of people now thinking, "Oh...that's why we're here.')

Go for a BS or BA in Liberal Studies at Excelsior College.

Or a BSBA in General Business at TES(C)U.

That other forum has an incredible wealth of up-to-date info on this exact topic.

I would agree- and I don't know why it's always such a "name that must not be spoken" relationship. Clearly the "other" forum focuses on testing out of an undergraduate degree while this one focuses on distance learning, especially graduate distance learning. I don't see the competition myself.....which is why I'm a member of both.....

You will need upper division courses to earn a BA. CLEP does not provide UD exams. DSST has some UD exams but may not fit degree requirements. I do not know what other tests may result in UD credit.

By the way a BS may give you greater flexibility of courses than a BA.

The OP did say CLEP and other tests. TESU's BSBA is the only bachelor's degree that you can fully test out of. Some concentrations are more test-friendly than others. General management and computer information systems will have the most test options. Human resources management and accounting might be doable with CSU Global CBEs.

I'm assuming that people are being polite to a fault, and that we're not actually forbidden from telling people that, on this one particular topic, DegreeForum.net is a better source of information than this forum is.

You said it AND linked it? I'm pretty sure you're the first. :notworthy:

Yeah, someday. But then Chip will fix it.:grouphug:

It's one thing if another site comes up in conversation. It's another if people seem to be going out of their way to bring it up. We can all tell the difference.

    That's fair enough.
