Construction trade....

    You're right. I get that but in this competitive job market I need all the help I can get.

    Technically I would be moving on after a few years as I'm trying to develop skills to then make the move back home and help run my FILs firm.

    But I would not go all the way to an actual Arch degree. I don't have the time or interest to go back to a full time masters in arch. I was only going to finish the engineering and architectual autocad. It's an arch drafting certificate. I'd basically be an architectual technician, a nurse not a doctor. A paralegal, not a lawyer.

    Is that still overqualified? Would they still put me at an advantage?

    Yaknow it's that whole "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" thing. No one can tell you that answer because it depends on the attitude of the interviewer.

    I understand that but as far as the necessary skills to hit the ground running and manage projects, would it help and put me at an advantage skill wise?
