Over the last ten months, I have seen correspondence from someone that stated that he works as an agent for ASIC. He has sent the following email to at least four schools. What do the forum members think? is this legit? Thanks for sharing.

    From: XXXXXXXXX <[email protected]>
    Subject: ASIC ACCREDITATION
    To: XXXXXXXXXX
    Date: Sunday, March 16, 2014, 11:36 PM

    Dear XXXXXXX,

I am glad you are considering applying for ASIC accreditation!

I have been helping many schools achieve ASIC accreditation successfully.

The attached file says it all about ASIC and the process of getting its accreditation. You need to work with me to be able to achieve this accreditation very easily as I am very much familiar with the process and the ASIC management team.

The cost is only 11,500 pounds which you have to pay directly to ASIC upon receipt of their invoice.

I encourage you to get started today, and you will be surprised how you can earn this accreditation within 2 months! Attached also is the application form. Please note that you really don't have to fulfill everything on this application form at this time. You can provide the rest of the missing items at the time of your site visit.

When you complete this application, please e-mail it directly to me to forward to ASIC owner, as he is my good friend.

May I know the name of your school and where it is located?

Once you apply today, ASIC will invoice you tomorrow of 11,500 pounds, and once you have paid it, you will be schedule for your site visit at the time very convenient for you. It is that simple! I will also invoice you to pay me directly.

With my help, I don't see any reason why you can't earn this valuable and highly recognized accreditation within 2 months!

Lets get started now. I look forward to hearing from you.

    Regards

    Dr. XXXXX XXXXXX

Are you from a school? Which one? What do you do there?

No Learning Addict. I am not associated with any ASIC schools or the agency either.

Yes, but do you work for a school outside of ASIC? I mean, where/why would you be getting this information otherwise?

    Perhaps I'm missing something here?

    :ugh:

I can invent an idea as to how you could see an email from one school, but four? Beyond that I'm curious about your curiosity.

We may never know the answer to such questions. Pretty much like this one:

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?

What is ASIC? Are they a recognized accreditation agency?

For a long time I wore Adidas because it was part of that whole straight edge thing.
