I hear there are 3 colleges that take master's degree credit towards a doctorate. They are Walden University, Valdosta State, and Arizona State. Does anyone have any experience with this situation? Do you have any more colleges to add to this list?

Are you asking if there are doctoral programs that accept masters-level credit or programs that credit a masters degree toward the doctoral degree? Valdosta will accept masters-level credits, but will not accept credits that were previously used for another degree. Generally, doctoral programs that require a masters degree tend to be shorter anyway. Even among PhD programs that admit those with just a bachelors degree, many of them will give you advanced standing for having a masters. There would be too many schools to list.

Liberty will accept master's level courses in its DBA.

I think all schools will take them toward the 80+ credits beyond a bachelors degree.

I think normally, those plan to be in the academia can enter a Ph.D program right after graduating with a Bachelor degree. Therefore, they are earning their Master degree on the way. As just like Dr. Randell O. said that more credits without a Master degree, but less with a Master degree. Some Ph.D degrees like Nova Southeastern University require a Master degree for Ph.D admission; therefore, no accepting any courses toward the degree program.
