I just checked their website again, and it seems like they added the requirement of having official transcripts mailed directly from the issuing institution :(

I have always respected you but I was wondering have you actually graduated with a degree as of yet?

You have gone to Penn Foster College and to Andrew Jackson University and then to Excelsior College, but you don't indicate an actual degree. If this is the case that you don't have a degree as of yet, what is taking you so long to get your Bachelor's degree?

I remember talking with you many years ago, in fact, almost 10 years and you were trying to work on completing a degree. I don't want to make any waves, but if you haven't graduated with a Bachelor's degree after that long what has been going on?

To answer your question: no, I haven't finished my degree yet. Yes, it has been a long, drawn out process. A lot of starting and stopping. As to what has been going on, I guess you could chalk it up to the uncertainties of life: work, caring for a disabled spouse, money issues, my own medical problems, etc. Last year, I had pneumonia for six months. Those types of things. I am paying for my studies out of my own pocket, and when it's a choice between my wife's medications and taking a CLEP or DSST exam or another course, the wife's medications win, every time.

I'm still working on finishing my Communications degree, but it has been a long, slow, painful process. Right now I am studying for the DSST History of the Vietnam War exam, and I hope to take that one within the next month. After that, I have 12 more courses/exams to complete, and I will finally be done with my BA.

I'm making no predictions about when I will finally be able to add an "I'm Done!" post, but it will happen...eventually.
