I turned in my final assignments earlier this week and have officially completed the Master of Science in Organizational Performance at Bellevue University! I can't adequately express the sense of relief and accomplishment I feel right now. I've been so busy for the better part of the last two years...I have no idea how I'm going to fill my time! I've already started thinking about pursuing another degree, but I've promised myself (and my wife) that I'd allow myself at least 90-days to be still and get used to not having something that I have to do. We'll see how that goes.

I owe a great deal of gratitude to the members of this forum. I stumbled onto this site years ago (my former name was Pugbelly but something happened to my old account so I had to start over as Pugbelly2). Back then, I knew nothing about accreditation and had only 6 hours of college credit. Today, I have 3 degrees, all of them relevant to me on personal and professional levels, have become an "expert" on accreditation and have developed into a true academic nerd who has since helped others to reach their academic goals. None of that would have been possible without the valuable feedback and advice offered by Degreeinfo members. So I offer very sincere thanks to all of you. This degree is not only my accomplishment, but yours as well.

Congratulations! And Tekman is right -- you have to expect to be asked about the next step!

Thank you! I'm not leaving DegreeInfo. It's become an addiction, or perhaps an obsession. :) I'm still learning things from this forum after all these years. For example, I came across a thread a few months ago that mentioned something about Southern New Hampshire University's College for America. For those who don't know what it is, it's a collaborative program between the university and employers. Under certain conditions, employees get to attend SNHU to earn an associate of general studies with an emphasis in business. I won't go into the specific details here, but the program is really wonderful, extremely affordable, requires the direct and continued involvement of the employer, and it takes a really innovative approach to learning. Long story short, I got in touch with the university to learn all of the details and became a real believer. I drafted a comprehensive plan for the other executives in my organization that outlined all of the potential benefits to our employees and to the organization as a whole. As a result, 25 employees will begin their associate degrees in January, tuition paid in full by us (the employer). I serve as the "employer coach" that will oversee the program, monitor student progress, regularly meet with the employees, etc. The excitement level within my organization is off the chart right now. None of that would have been possible without DegreeInfo, so 25 other lives, none of which have ever heard of this forum, have been positively (and hopefully permanently) impacted by this board.

This forum is truly a great resource.

Maybe, maybe not. 90-days is the minimum I have elected to wait.

I'm not sure what's next. That's what this self-imposed time off is all about. There is so much I want to do. I'm considering a PhD in Leadership from Tennessee Temple University or a PhD (several options) from UNISA. I'm also looking at a MA in Counseling from Baptist Bible College & Seminary or a few theological options at South African Theological Seminary. Whatever I do, it will not be a PhD in Management.

I'd like to do some writing and some more teaching. Some of you may recall that I was offered an adjunct position with the University of the District of Columbia - Community College about 6 months ago. I took the position (real classroom, not distance) and thoroughly enjoyed it. The course was a big hit and they've been trying to entice me to come back ever since.

So I am literally all over the place right now. It will all shake out. Whatever I do next, I just want to be sure that I'm doing it for a purpose, for the right reasons, not simply for the sake of doing it.

Yes indeed.. congratulations! I'm 1/2 through my Masters now and am rather looking forward to completing it... 1 month less for courses and next Semester will be spent entirely in the dissertation. I can't wait to share you feelings of being done! :D

    Big Congratulations :)

For some reason, your thread title made me think of the other "mission accomplished."

Just google the term, and you'll know what I mean. :)
