...to put down! I have my exam booked for this afternoon. Unlike every other exam, however, I find it too interesting and have had trouble focusing on the exam content rather than going off and reading full texts from Plato and Kuhn.

I'm still not done with my outline- and I have to work today! Looks like I'll have to skim definitions and names then make my way over to Pearson and do my usual routine of clicking the right answers (as opposed to knowing the right answers) :silly:

Then again- since this IS philosphy- there might not be any right answers.

2 exams, one of them starts in less than 2 hours

This morning, I realized that I didn't do a good job of memorizing philosopher's names in connection with their ideas and works. Since I'm really good (ok, fine- I'm AWESOME) at recalling vocab and reasoning from concepts for an exam, I spent the day (while at work! :p) making a master list of philosophers' names from the content outline and a brief description of their contributions. O... m.... g... there were no less than 45 names that I had to remember. Thank the aforementioned "g" in "omg" for mnemonic devices! (Clifford, who believed that faith is cowardly and promoted 'credence as the evidence warrants' appears in my memory as. Clifford the big red dog! Cowering behind a house because he's being served a warrant by hot female police officer with the name Faith on her name tag.)

Anyway, for the first time ever, I got every single question right on the practice exam- and finished in under a minute! I thought I understudied, but it looks like I'm A-O-K.

You're going to have to think about it, MC.

Oh, I understand you! The philosophy is not an easy discipline. I do well at math. Philosophy is too boring for me!!!

  8. I had the same problem with philosophy. We were assigned excerpts and I would invariably devour the entirety of Nicomachean Ethics or the Critique of Pure Reason, falling way behind in my readings. It's really delightful stuff. Good luck on the exams...get that degree!
