I decided to attend Northeastern University's online program this fall since my employer is paying the tuition. Undecided between the M.S. in Project Management with concentration in Leadership or M.S. in Leadership with concentration in Project Management. Since I already have an MBA, I am looking towards the Project Management degree. The dept that I am currently in does a lot of projects; however, I would also like to move up from the company. I would like to hear your thoughts between the two degrees.

I would say do the one that's actually in project management, if your goal is to do more with project management. If it isn't, then since you have an MBA I actually wouldn't bother to do either one.

Why not get a graduate certificate in project management and then take the test to be PMP certified?

Agreed. The PMP certification would be much more valuable than a masters in PM.

I have the option to do that as well. Looking more on building my resume, just not sure if it is overkill.

The second masters would be overkill in my opinion where as the PMP cert would say that you know project management better than most.
