I am an American citizen but I'm currently living in Hanoi, Vietnam. I'm thinking about pursuing my doctorate degree, but I don't speak Vietnamese and it will be a while before I can learn Vietnamese well enough to participate in a classroom. My wife and I are also thinking about relocating to the Philippines (her home country). So I'm considering an online degree again (Ashford for my BA and MBA).

Do you guys have any recommendations on where to even begin looking? What kind of accreditations should I look for? Where can I look for schools?

    Thanks a lot!

Ashford? If it were me, I'd wait and see what happens with their accreditation troubles.

Ack, sorry Ted. I meant to say I already have a BA and MBA from Ashford, so I'm familiar with distance learning.

I's suggest that you begin by spending some time reading through our Business degrees forum. You'll discover that there are almost 200 accredited MBA degrees offered through distance learning. Also, virtually every state university system offers a Bachelors degree in Business through DL. So, if your main interest is Business then you're in luck because it's probably the most plentiful degree offered through DL. You'll want to pay attention to accreditation, professional accreditation, concentrations and costs. Good luck.

What are your goals? Why do you want to pursue these degree programs?
