Thanks a lot for this degree plan. I think this will be a way out for her. Aside the FEMA free electives which she may not be able to register for because we are not in the US, and the unless ALEKS and Straigthliner do not conduct exams to international students, this should be a plan.

You're welcome. Remember though that ALEKS and Straighterline are both online, including exams. Although ALEKS doesn't have exams per se, just "assessments" which she'll learn about. Essentially you have to get 70% on an assessment to get credit. If you don't, no problem you just repeat the areas your weak in and take another assessment. That can go on and on until you finish so however long it takes is up to you. Check out KCTCS, if they do accept international students which that link I left in the other post seems to indicate although it could help out. As for the Free Electives, if FEMA doesn't work you can use other TEEX courses, Straighterline, ALEKS, etc. There are plenty of options to get 6 credits to satisfy that.

Thanks. There are no centers in Slovakia or nearby countries like Austria or Czech. Open Uni UK is hell expensive for us. London Uni may be too stressful for her- her opinion anyway. She seems to be crazy about the idea of getting credits from different sources and applying them towards a degree at TESC as advised above.

Ok, this doesn't look good for our pocket. Unless I don't get it, does ''2012-2013 Non-Enrolled Student Tuition Course Tuition—Undergraduate (per credit attempted) $414.00'' means that we will pay, as international student, $414 for every single credit hour earned outside? If we are coming with (let's say) 120 credits, we will pay 414 multiply by 120??? Please shed light on this. Thanks

You don't have to take any courses through TESC but instead can transfer in all the approved credits you need from other sources. The cost for you would be $2,958.00 under the Enrolled Options Plan (good for 1 year). I highly recommend completing most or all of the credits you need first and then transferring them to TESC so you'll know for sure that you won't go past 1 year and have to pay again. I'd also recommend taking 1 course you need (any subject) through TESC but only if you need a GPA because none of the credits you transfer to TESC will be added to your GPA. That 1 course, if you decide you need a GPA, would indeed cost you $414 per credit. TESC has a great program for finishing your degree that isn't too expensive, except for those folks who want to take courses through them and are not New Jersey residents.

That 1 credit would only cost $414 if the student were to take it before enrolling. Why would anyone take a TESC course before enrolling if they plan to eventually enroll? TESC charges $221 per credit hour for non-residents. The enrollment fee is expensive, but the tuition is not.

I know I can be annoying at times with my questions- please pardon me if I am. I just want to get this all clear. As an international students who plans to bring about 120 credits to TESC, we will have to enroll for $2,958.00 under the Enrolled Options Plan (good for 1 year) and then pay $221 per every capstone credit or any course we take. If we don't have to take any course, all we pay is the $2,958.00 under the Enrolled Options Plan. Am I correct? Thanks for your responses.

That's correct. Sanantone was also right about courses costing you $221/credit. No capstone is required for the BSBA, but one is for any BA degrees. Now this might change somewhat come July 1st when the new catalog is released, but TESC has given no indication that it will. I'd still recommend taking 1 course through TESC so you'll have a GPA. This might come in handy later.
