My plan is an AS in web publishing at AMU. Then I’ll give grad school a shot.

Too busy to be a student these days! I keep seeing that there are more and more doctoral programs out there, though. Someday I'll make another attempt to scale that particular mountain.

I am seriously thinking again to embark on the Doctoral (DBA) journey. My shortlist is still Manchester, Grenoble, Durham, Cranfield, Aston and new entrants Rollins College and Bradford. AACSB accreditation being the main criteria.

Unless you want to teach at an AACSB-accredited program, no one will likely care whether or not the program you take is operated by one. But you might enjoy the rigor required of such programs and not be too irritated by the restrictions AACSB brings.

You are right. AACSB programs are not watered down doctoral programs. I like the rigor at AACSB schools. UMASS experience was a good example. You never know in the future, i might even decide to teach at an AACSB school or most of the non-AACSB schools might decide to apply for AACSB/EQUIS/AMBA accreditation and i dont want to regret then. Moreover the tuition at most non-AACSB doctoral programs is not cheap. They charge almost the same as many AACSB schools. For me that does not make any sense to study at non-AACSB school when you have so many AACSB school options.

I'm done! Now that I have my doctorate, I am not planning any further formal education. In fact I am starting to prune the various professional associations I have belonged to for years. I figure I no longer have to pay money every year just to maintain professional designations that no longer really interest me. I'd rather put that money toward classes and experiences that are for my personal interest and development, not for external professional validation. The one great thing about earned degrees, is they yours to keep once they are done, and you don't have to keep paying for them!

Still working on my PhD at UNISA. Probably will not be completely finished until December 2014. Working on it as we speak...LOL

Sometimes schools that aren't accredited by AACSB will call for faculty with degrees from schools that are. I'm not sure why, perhaps they think it will make things easier if they ever do apply to AACSB, or perhaps it's just a way to keep the stack of CVs manageable.

I just finished everything I need for my Master of Security Studies program. It'll be conferred next month. I'm looking at maybe starting a doctoral program in international relations, political science, public policy, psychology, neuroscience, or criminal justice.

I'll be starting the MA in History - Ancient & Classical History through APU next month. I'm hoping to get a decent amount of research and writing under my belt in preparation for a PhD at some point.

In my case membership in, and active participation in, has done more for my career than my degrees.

I'm 3 weeks away from summer break, and the only thing standing between me and my garden are 20 pages.....
I have summer session off, and start my last semester in my MS program this fall. At that time my coursework will be complete and I'll only have my thesis remaining. I'd hoped to finish everything in 2013, but with our move to North Carolina, I took an 8 week leave, and those 8 weeks made the difference between finishing in the last 8 weeks of 2013 and the first 8 weeks of 2014.

I'm considering doing a mini MBA and then maybe a M.Ed. in Adult Education or an Ed.S down the line but anything can happen.

Working on my CFA. More brutal than any graduate program I completed.

Yes, I lust after the MA in Ancient & Clasical History at American Military University. More realistically, I'm trying to figure out when I will be able to return to the MA in Interdisciplinary Studies/History & Political Science at Western New Mexico University.

I've decided to apply to the University of London - MSc in Epidemiology program. Wish me luck (I think I'll need it, as I've read that this program is quite difficult). If I get in, I'll start this October (which will roughly coincide with the birth of my 3rd child - my wife is due in early September). I should start preparing now for the upcoming sleep deprivation!
