If you work in a technology company them perhaps a Master of Project Management would work for you (I know several managers in the aerospace field with MPM degees).

This was certainly true in the past. When I took my engineering courses in the UK the pass mark was 40% (50% in the final year). It was rare that anyone got more than 60%. Courses were evaluated on standarized exams monitored by the I.Mech.E.

Well, My question was "If I write GMAT, does the UMass still hold the edge over the other online mba ? Considering less than 35k as the tuition? I know its a hypothetical question, but I need to know if there are application deadlines for the best online universities" -

Meaning, I was only interested in knowing the best online university other than UMass, because, I was anyways giving the GMAT and wanted to know if there are better MBA, since my first post was specifically without GMAT. and once I know, I'll do my home work. I didnt ask the forum to look for the application deadlines from the best university.

I don't expect a newbie to forum with a red carpet welcome, all I said was use less strong words.

I wasn't attempting to be rude, I was pointing out that your continued requests for additional information have become ridiculous. Everything you are asking is available on program websites if you would take the time to review them. If you perceive me pointing that out to be "rude", so be it.

I have asked UMass to verify the overall percentage, they have asked me to submit the marks sheet and they will let me know whats the exact calculator they used for. I'll keep you posted guys.

Thanks again for the detailed explanation.

Read my post again, and you will understand, if I asked forum to search for applications deadline or I asked them to suggest good online mba with GMAT other than UMass.

These kind of behavior is what is called rude. If you don't understand the question, then better not answer it or Ask the OP to rephrase the question. This is a public forum and I am not begging for answer. - atleast not from you.

The moderator supports it all these!! Good luck

I just got a call from UMass, and looks like they did go with the same calculator. However they did ask me to get it evaluated course by course from a professional education evaluation organization, which might give an actual GPA equivalent. But most likely it would still not cross 3.5.

    Thanks

Yes, answers from me should be of little value. I only hold advanced degrees from two of the most elite Universities in the country, have several years work experience at the most elite MBA program on the planet and currently work in higher education consulting. I'd dismiss everything I said on this topic as well.

One more thing, one of the moderators condemned your behavior before I did. Go back and read the previous posts. Work on your reading comprehension before pursuing that MBA.

    Best of luck.

Go with ECE. I have seen 59% mapping to 3.0 GPA. Yours should be above 5.6 GPA.

Yeah, but I'm being bitchy so it doesn't count. I don't mind saying that it does bug me some when people don't even try to do their own homework.

Thanks. That's really a good suggestion for me! I am yet to prepare for GMAT, so I would really keep this in mind.

By the way, What would you do? You cannot understand the point put forth by OP, even though you have advanced degrees from two most "elite Universities" in the Country.

Lets prepare for GMAT and MBA together! It will be fun. What say? - Again, don't worry
I will help you this time.

    And again
    - I am really learning reading comprehension. Good way to start my GMAT preparation. ;-)

:) No worries. I think the question was not taken in the intention I had put it. Anyways, Thanks everyone, got lots of valuable suggestions for my first post.... really appreciate it.

You are welcome, and good luck!

Refer to my previous reply, since you do not want to a Project Manager. However, PMP Certification helps you in managing people as well by over seeing their projects. It is good to have under your belt. Especially you want to be CTO and CIO.

    TEKMAN,

Sure, also, I just wanted to make sure I get my education evaluation done by right team which universities accept. I was told by UMass to go through one of the members listed in

    NACES® Members

Thanks again. I think GMAT is a good option, I'll have more choices to make with GMAT. Lets see how it goes.

    In my opinion and experience:
    (1) Your experience and abilities are the predominent factor in being hired. Your degrees are often a "check the box" factor. But maybe not true for some businesses.
    (2) Going through a recruiter is not the best method to find a job. Contacts are the best way; they can be found by attending conferences and by joining appropriateprofessional organizations and attending their meetings.
    (3) If by "hiring manager" you mean the person who will be your manager then by all means send your resume to him. Personalize your resume for each position you apply for.
