    Hello,

I have recently discovered the difference between a PsyD and a PhD. As a consultant, I think the PsyD in Business or Organizational Psychology will be better to pursue. I have found The Chicago School of Professional Psychology program, but am wondering if anyone knows of others or is enrolled in that degree somewhere.

    Thanks.

The Chicago School is a good school, albeit pricey. I have no first-hand knowledge of their programs, I know someone who graduated from the Chicago School and are very happy with the school and the program; I believe she completed a Masters degree in I/O Psy.

I'd think that would be a benefit. Then again, I'm one of those wacky people who would rather take business courses from people who work in their field and moonlight as instructors than from tenured professors who may not have gotten their hands dirty in decades, if ever.

I've actually graduated from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. They have campuses in LA and DC as well. All of the instructors are industry professionals. By nature the Psy.D. is an applied degree, so they prefer instructors with degree experience.
