Some of you may recall that a few years ago, in order to demonstrate the absurdity of using the apostille to validate a school, I secured an apostille that stated that I had been chosen as the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church.

I can authoritatively state that no one ever challenged me on this.

But now that I have the opportunity to press my case, as it were, I have decided not to do so. I'm just too busy working on new books, and learning to make sushi.

I admire the Pope for stepping down. So many don't know how to end a facet of their career gracefully.

On a culinary note, Emeril Lagasse and I went to the same college. Much success with your sushi.

I wonder if he had to get his supervisor's approval in order to retire early?
