Well i chatted with MUST university today and that is possibly the worst name by the way, but they at least try to sell an education. Its bogus but they actually try and sell an education. The other guys basically said, send us 495 dollars and you get a piece of paper. In any event they are a scam, but a smarter scam.

Yep - no surprise. As I suspected. MUST and RAY are two of the 20-odd "Universities" and several bogus accreditors that Salem Kureshi, Head Mill-meister of Pakistan, runs from his apartment in Karachi.

AS long-term readers likely know, Kureshi's "Belford" has been sued for over 20 mill.

Kureshi is believed to net $20 million or more personally each year from these phony schools. How long will it go on? Probably a long time - I think he's still in his 30s.

I've often wished for a team of Navy Seals to visit him, but it hasn't happened yet...likely won't. Like Rich D. said -- been going on for decades. And giving some poor chat-drone in Kohat or Faisalabad an indecent earful isn't going to even put a dint in it. So why bother?

That could also be looked at as being arbitrary and not forward-thinking. It appalls me when single institutions bar people from positions simply because they studied online or studied under a school with a legitimate accreditation type they didn't like, doing so without regard for the students' ability to demonstrate their skills. It saddens me to know an entire nation would do that, putting mode of education over demonstration of ability. But that thinking? That too shall pass away in Pakistan as it has rapidly been doing all across the globe.

I notice Nixon U. proudly flies the USDLA membership flag. Too bad! The USDLA, a worthwhile organization (not an accreditor) has many fine schools as members, but has allowed FAR TOO MANY BOGUS OUTFITS like "Nixon U." to rub elbows with the good people.

To "Nixon U." - Yes, you ARE a crook, despite any pretense. (You have to be fairly old, to get that one. :smile: )

USDLA is a valid org. - not an accreditor, but they did dabble in "certification." That was not their finest hour. It is sad that the only school they "certified" is the now-defunct, assiduously-sued Clayton College of Natural Health.

USDLA currently does have criteria for rejecting schools for membership. For example:

Seems like Nixon U might struggle to qualify under some of the USDLA criteria. But in that case, how was it able to obtain USDLA membership?

An even more basic question might be: is Nixon U in fact a USDLA member? I wouldn't automatically assume that all of the claims and representations on the Nixon U website are true.
