UoP shutting down campuses and cutting jobs

    I might have gone to UoP for my bachelor's but would never consider them for a master's. I'm sure the work required is fine, but they've given themselves a bad name through their aggressive marketing IMO and wouldn't trust that I'd get much "bang for my buck". Still, I'd consider taking a couple of courses to transfer, might even check out what they offer in my area now that I think about it. An actual degree though I'll get elsewhere.

    Just speculation, but the management of UoP might have looked at the Ashford situation and are re-positioning the business before the accrediting agencies come a-callin'. (Hopefully the regional accredting committees are starting to take a dim view of some of the for profit schools' business practices.)
