    RFValve:

Why do you say this? Have you ever been a K-W student before?

How can a Degree which is perfectly legal by US DoE be worthless?

    Thanks,

    RJT

    Why?

    - A KW degree won’t allow you teach you at any accredited college or university
    - It won’t be recognized for license purposes (For example a CPA or CMC)
    - It won’t allow you to continue for a PhD at a RA university
    - It has bad name in the business, the federal government once had a “scam” detector operation called “DIPSCAM” that ranked KW as one of the top ten degree mills in the country. Here is a link to that top ten list. http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00091.html

Now if my employer is smart enough to run a search on the internet, he will notice that KW is not a reputable school for sure. Why to waist money and effort? Do you want really to spend the rest of your life defending a degree with tons of evidence against it?. If you want to add the MBA letters after your name, you can always buy a degree from Trinity college for a couple of hundred and it will be also legal.

    Regards,

I just wanted to add a few things to the "Dipscam" list. There is a professor at a RA college who graduated from Pacific Western University with a PhD. Even the RA college calls her "Doctor." I know of a salesperson at a major corporation in the US who received his MBA from Kennedy Western University. (The employer paid for the tuition.) Back in the 1990's, Chadwick became state-licensed and allows Alabama residents to apply for admission and enroll. Chadwick is no longer a member of WAUC. Finally, 8 states allow CPAs to receive CPE credit from Chadwick.
(I am not defending any of these colleges or universities.) Thank you.

I also know of degree mill graduates that get into graduate schools in Canada. Yes there are a lot of graduates that in spite of having a degree mill or not a degree at all make it in life, if the individual is good the degree won't matter as much, but of us are not in that category of "genious" and need a good background to succed in life. There are plenty of cases of succesful people with no degrees in life, having a degree mill only fills the gap of these people's expectional ability. But it is dangerous to assume that one will be one of these top performers regardless of a bad education.

    Re: K-W U

A much better choice would be Amberton Univ. which offers a MBA degree for approximately 6k. Of course Amberton is RA, has a much better reputation and is legal in both Oregon and California unlike K-W. Good luck.
