The Post doc looks interesting but I always wondered if employers would actually honor it. Most employers are looking for a PhD in Business and not a PhD in History with a Post Doc certificate in Business.

The requirement for an Academic Qualified faculty membe as far as AACSB is concerned is a doctorate with publications in business and not a PhD in business. There are many people with PhDs in Physics, Math, Engineering, etc that teach at business schools.

My concern is that you go and pay a small fortune for this certificate that ends having the same value as a graduate certificate from any AACSB accredited school. The difference is that the certificate forces you to publish in business but you don't need to go to school for this and you can achieve this on your own.

Technically, the PhD in non business plus the post doc certificate would make you qualified to teach at an AACSB accredited school but I am afraid that an employer might not see it that way and give preference to a graduate of a PhD in business from an AACSB accredited school.

Before I would invest my money in this certificate, I would go and see how many people are teaching with this certificate.

I just don't buy that a PhD in Education + a post doc certificate would make you qualified to teach something like finance or accounting that requires years of training.

How about a doctorate with no dissertation? One with an applied research project? I find that I am more of an engineer than a researcher. I prefer to build things than to add to theory. One can get a doctorate in physical therapy or medicine without a dissertation so I am surprised there aren't more DBA or EdD degrees that do not require a dissertation.

Looking at the internally posted 2012 cohort directory, there are students doing research in Accounting, Finance and Marketing apart from Technology Management.
Here is from their website "....It can also cover more traditional research topics in the fields of management, finance, marketing, organizational behaviour, etc."

"advice" is noun form and "advise" is verb form. Which one do you actually need?
