Colleges that provide FREE tuition for employees

Since it has come up here and there, I thought it would be fun to start a thread about colleges you can work for that provide free or reduced tuition for you/family. This is a GREAT way to pay for college! For those of us with several children, this single benefit can be worth a half-million dollars. This is a substantial benefit, and should be brought to the forefront. Especially, since many require only part time work (janitor, cook, teacher, coach, student services, IT, etc)

Please add schools you know offer such a benefit, and links if possible.

I'll start off with this Tuition Exchange| Career Institution| College Tuition Exchange Program

All 600+ schools in this network agree to provide free or reduced tuition to spouses and dependents if they attend an in-network college. You'll notice these are private schools, thus higher tuition out of the gate, but a benefit none the less.

Johnson and Wales University Johnson & Wales University : Academics & Real World Experience : Home UNIV (multiple campuses) will give employees 90% tuition reimbursement on graduate study, and spouses/children 100% free undergraduate tuition at any of their 4 campuses. They belong to the above network, so attending one of those schools is at a rate up to 100% (but could be less).

I work for the University of Saint Francis (USF). In addition to the Tuition Exchange (TE)program, we are a member of the CIC Tuition Exchange Program:

About the CIC Tuition Exchange Program

Note - that CIC and TE are not guaranteed. Schools are only required to set aside so many slots for CIC and TE students. From conversations with my colleagues, CIC is more "friendly" than TE.

As a USF employee, my dependent children under the age of 23, along with my wife, can attend USF and have tuition charges waived.

I think the site database is not accurate. I cannot speak for other schools, but Georgetown University provides FREE tuition for its full-time employees. I know lot of people work at Georgetown University attend Georgetown University graduate programs for FREE.

The Tuition Exchange program is what it states, an exchange. These are schools that have chosen, with limitations, exchange tuition waivers for employees and dependents with other schools.

I'm sure there are schools like Georgetown that have a tuition waiver benefit, but choose not to be in an exchange program.

 

As I mentioned in another thread, Northeastern University has full free tuition for employees and dependents. My wife's cousin works there, and his 2 children got their degrees for free, except the cost of books;

The University System of Georgia offers free tuition at any of the USG institutions for full-time employees. Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) - Human Resources - University System of Georgia

Some programs like WebMBA and "premium programs" like the DBA and other executive programs are not included. But it's how I got my MA and now I am getting a free PhD!

 

The University of the South participates in the Tuition Exchange Program. In addition, staff members may attend classes as long as it doesn't interfere with their work, and dependents can take advantage of very good benefits for both high school and college.
