    When I went to Coastline Community College for my AA most classes I took had Video and/or audio lectures, and for a dyslexic guy like myself that helped out TREMENDOUSLY!

    However in my undergrad program at NYIT NONE had this benefit. :(

    My online MBA at UMASS did not have any videos.

    VARK and the cost of video production

    Two thoughts on this thread:

    1. VARK - Some folks learn "Visually", others learn "Audibly", still others learn by "Reading" and some learn by "Kinetics". I try in teaching to engage students in as many of these approaches as possible.

    2. Video production cost - Tools like "Tegrity" and "Mediasite", lower the cost of video production. These require no production people to generate new content. Further, Tegrity will capture PowerPoint - and index the lecture so that a student can quickly get to the part of the lecture they want to see.
