Hello everyone, I have read this forum for a while, and only recently created an account. I spent the past five years in the US Marine Corps and now work in Afghanistan. I will finish my bachelors in transportation and logistics management with AMU (APUS) this December. I have spent a lot of time searching the forum and internet for graduate supply chain/logistics programs. I will have 20 months left on my Post 9/11 GI Bill. As long as the school is a state school or under the Yellow Ribbon Program funding will not be an issue. I require a complete online program. One or two school visits or residencies should be acceptable. I have considered an MBA with a concentration in logistics or supply chain, but I lack the necessary math skills. I would also have a take a number of prereq classes to even be considered. I have not yet taken the GMAT or GRE but I plan to this summer on leave. The two programs I am currently considering are, Kelly Direct's MS in Global Supply Chain and the Penn State World Campus Masters in Supply Chain Management. Does anyone have any preference or advice? Can you provide any other similar programs I should consider? I appreciate all your help and advice. Bryant
Good idea, but their MBA with a concentration in Supply Chain Management states some of the courses are only offered on campus. So University of Dallas is not an option for me.
Clemson University: M.Eng. in Supply Chain and Logistics for Capital Projects On-line Programs : Clemson University Clemson University : Industrial Engineering : Curriculum Central Michigan University: MBA in Logistics Management (AACSB) Master of Business Administration from CMU Off-Campus & Online
Here’s another public /state university option: East Carolina University: MS in Technology Systems (concentration in Industrial Distribution & Logistics) Department of Technology Systems :: Master of Science in Technology Systems http://www.ecu.edu/cs-tecs/advising/loader.cfm?csModule=security/getfile&pageid=18869
Master Commercial Aviation (MCA) Bryant, I took this program a dozen years ago entirely online! They dropped the graduate exam requirement (MAT) and will give instate tuition for online learners. It is offered by the College of Business but is a aviation/cargo/transportation/Logistics degree. So if you have a background in aviation even better! (Loadmaster, dispatcher, pilot, airport manager, aircraft mechanic, etc.) However, your bachelors looks relevant! Delta State University, Mississippi Link: 1.3 MCA Program took me 18 months under $7000 and no thesis just a course with a written project. Just saw that tuition is $294 a credit x 30 credits= $8820 plus books and fees! Buy APA style ease for your MS Word and it is sweet! Regards, Delta
Delta, that program looks very interesting. Although not quite what I am looking for, I know someone who might be very interested.
FWIW, I've had a great experience with Penn State World Campus. They are very easy to work with. They offer gap tuition to active service people to cover what tuition assistance doesn't.
I am out of the service now, but my Post 9/11 GI Bill will cover the cost. I appreciate your input. I only continue to hear great things about the Penn State World Campus.
Here are other options to consider: 1.) Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Worldwide , Embry-Riddle 2.) Logistics Management Masters Degree | Florida Institute of Technology 3.) Bellevue University | Master of Science in Acquisition and Contract Management (MS) 4.) Master of Science in Integrated Supply Chain Management | UW-Platteville Distance Education 5.) MS Operations and Project Management - Curriculum | SNHU 6.) Center for Logistics, Trade and Transportation | The University of Southern Mississippi 7.) University of Denver | Page Title
Cyber, I really appreciate that list. I have found a few that meet my interests and might work for me. Thank you.
The Post 9/11 GI Bill will cover up to $17,000.00 per year tuition. You also receive about $700.00 per month for E-5 BAH W/D. So, I don't think you have problem with the tuition there. But Florida Institute of Technology also offers MS in Supply Chain Management through University Alliance! Interest in Ivy League School? Columbia University's Master of Science in Engineering Management Systems: Concentration in Logistics and Supply Chain Optimization Kill!
I really appreciate everyone's help and advice. I have a few more programs to consider when the time comes. Thank you all.
