The Problem with MSIS Program of Minto State University

Dear future students of MSIS in Minot State Education,

I am putting this post for those student who have a requirement that their course must meet the standards of STEM and should be considered as a STEM course. This might be most important requirement for many immigrant students.

I completed the MSIS Program from Minot State University in April 2015. When I joined this program I was told by the MSIS program
Director (Dr. Lori Willoughby) that this program is recognized by STEM. I trusted her. My most important requirement to complete MSIS degree that it should be recognized by STEM.

But I think I have been misguided by Dr. Lori Willoughby. I feel that I have wasted my time and money. In the STEM Program there is no CIP Code against this program. When asked to Dr. Willoughby by one of the class fellows. Dr. Willoughby assured us that she can do what she can to change the MSIS to that CIP Code.

But there has been no communication since 29 May 2016. SO to whom it is important that the MS Degree should be recognized under STEM , they must make sure from the STEM List and the CIP COde that your MS Degree is listed there. Do not ever trust what the other professor says.

Here is the list of STEM Programs in 2016. https://www.ice.gov/sites/default/files/documents/Document/2016/stem-list.pdf

    Regards
    Charanjit
