    Admissions - SATS

You may be accepted for the master's program -- the operative word is 'relevant.'

"Enrolment Requirement -- The minimum admission requirement is a relevant Bachelor Honours Degree. A “professional” Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 96 credits at level 8 or a Postgraduate Diploma may also be recognised as meeting the minimum entry requirement to a cognate Master’s Degree programme. In all cases, the qualification must have been earned at an accredited institution. In the case of foreign qualifications the institution must be accredited by a recognised accrediting body or by the institution’s national government. Candidates must have achieved an above average grade in their entry-level qualification.

The Seminary offers a free, no obligation evaluation of your transcripts, which can either be faxed to us at + 27 11 234-4445 or scanned and sent as email attachments to [email protected] . We will initiate a response to your request within two days of receipt. If, based on an examination of your application and academic transcripts, the Seminary has concerns over either your language skills or your academic ability; the admissions committee may prescribe an admission test to evaluate your suitability to become an MTh candidate."

I emailed them about Global University and here's what I got back...

On Wednesday, January 25th I emailed Marty Lynn, Director of Student Advisors at Nations University, asking: "Can you tell me what, either Nationally or Regionally, accredited Seminaries have accepted your undergrads into their grad programs?"

On Thursday, January 26th he responded: "The first school that comes to mind having accepted our students is Liberty University. I believe George Fox out west has also taken our credits. There are others but right now I don’t have any names coming to mind."

Later that same day I replied: "I read online that Global University accepted NU credits... do you know if that's accurate?:

On Friday, January 27th he returned my email saying: "Yes, they have done so in the past. It is always an individual decision as they take into consideration the grade levels posted."

For a very inexpensive undergrad in Bible you may want to try INSTE Bible College. They are Detc accredited and cost 84$ per class for the first four classes and 256$ per class after that. You will need to take 36 hours of prerequisites from another accredited school since they only offer Bible classes. You can access them on the DETC website or google INSTE bible college. :)

If I was in your position I would go for the secular degree first. Have you looked at the Excelsior BSLS? In my opinion the most flexible degree available and you could include up to 59 units in religion but you might want to include courses that help with income such as accounting or technology). https://my.excelsior.edu/c/document_library/get_file?uuid=f9efcdb6-2dad-4c83-b2e0-43725d335e94&groupId=78666

Excelsior offers a Bachelor degree program for under $10,000: Assessment Based Degree - excelsior.edu

Just to add to greymatters comments; if you pay as you go along at Hobe Sound Bible College you only pay 130$ per credit hour (cash discount). I did receive my AA in Bible from HSBC and had a great experience. Straight forward technology, engaged professors, and hassel free. INSTE is a great option, but Hobe Sound may provide greater utility because of their ABHE accreditation. :)
