Ian didn't graduate from the HUX program (yes, sometimes individual programs within the same school have different requirements).

I graduated fron the Quality Assurance program - a separate department at CSUDH with one full time professor at the time. In my case I'm sure my work experience at mid-career helped with my admission since several prerequisites were waved for me. Also I took two of the MSQA courses as an open university student to see what the program was like.

However in looking at today's requirements it says the following:
After you apply for admission, be sure to request that two sealed official transcripts from every school attended postsecondary institution (post-Baccalaureate course work included) be sent to: MSQA Academic Coordinator (Application Materials), Quality Assurance Program Office

Thanks for the clarification.....a perfect example of the constantly shifting requirements in DL!

I was asked to do the same thing 7 out of 7 times.

Luckily I only had to get two transcripts (not including my SMART Transcript which is free). Though one of them feels like a total waiste of money considering it is for one damn class but they need transcripts from any courses that were accepted into my undergrad so I had to get transcripts for my AA from Aiken tech and transcripts from UMUC for a single course that I took when I was thinking of getting my degree there lol. Oh well, whatever helps to get me in. All I have left is to take the GRE on 12 January and submit official transcripts (without conferral date) and letter stating program completion from AMU in late april (AMU will get me for about 20 bux for my transcripts and letter of completion). It does add up. 100 dollar graduation fee, 10 bux for UMUC transcripts, 20 for AMU transcripts, 5 bux for the letter of completion (as my undergrad conferral date wont be until 15 May and I plan to start my Masters on 22 May so it would not afford enough time to wait for the transcripts with conferral date), 160 for the GRE, and the 50 dollar application fee for Troy. So in the end 345 just to get into grad school lol. Oh well it is worth it in the long run.

I took my MSQA as an in-seat student ar CSUDH.

But I just remembered that CSUDH was issued a warning in1998 by WASC (shortly after I graduated) so maybe the all-transcripts requirement was part of the CSUDH response to that warning.

My 1993 University of Iowa transcript has a single TWO CREDIT free elective. I've spent more on transcripts to that damn school than I paid in tuition.

This is why this common practice seems ridiculous.

I never send transcripts for those insignificant kind of credits. I have a few at a couple of CC's that are not worth including or paying a transcript fee. It's never caused a problem.

What I SHOULD have done, was not send it to TESC. The mistake that I made, was sending it. Now it's forever a part of that BA degree, thus EVERYONE who ever sees my TESC transcript can simply go down the list and request the transcripts from each of my prior schools. The first 5 times I was asked for all transcripts I did so, but then I tried to NOT send it to University of Illinois and Western New Mexico, both came back and asked for it. <shrug>

FWIW, I have also had to send official CLEP & DSST transcripts, it's never been enough to simply have those exams as credit on my degree. In addition to grad school aps, when I went through a phase and applied to AAS/BSN nursing programs, they all also wanted my CLEP official transcripts which documented my prereqs.
