Hey guys I was looking for a 3 credit History or Social Science class and found this online: GMU HIST 523 (3-credit) American History Digitized II: Melting Pot or Salad Bowl? | Credit Class Information | powered by RegOnline Anybody here has had experience with this course provider (Alaska Staff Development Network) seems like they offer the classes but are transcripted by other schools just like Vesi.. so I wonder if someone has used them before. Thanks
This could appear to be comparable to PBS TeacherLine and its college /university partners (?). Why PBS TeacherLine : PBS TeacherLine
I can't find the damn edit button but I wanted to add this from the site which I found interesting. Payment Instructions The registration fee is $100. This fee will be reimbursed upon successful completion of the class. Three (3) 500-level professional development credits are included in the registration fee.
So, just to clarify... Are we getting real uni credits for this course through George Mason University or simply professional development points of some sort? Also, it almost seems too good to be true that they'd give us all of our money back after we complete the course. I think all of us know what that means. If something seems too good to be true...
Er, wouldn't this deal just be for those who are part of the Alaska Staff Development Network? It looks like it's for K-12 teachers and principals there. Although it doesn't come out and say that, and it would be free to ask them....
