I just finished my B.S. in Emergency Management and walked earlier today. Now I can relax for a few months and plan my next move.

Grad school will not be an option for a few years or so. I'd like to get COMPLETELY out of debt, which I have been working on for a few years already. Once my debt is taken care of; credit cards, student loans, and pay off the $3,700 Tempur-Pedic Cloud mattress I just got and I'll be golden.

In the meantime, I have all the materials to begin studying for my Real Estate Broker's license that I plan to take in the Jan-Feb time-frame. Getting my license is something I've always wanted to have and turn it into a side gig, so that will keep me out of trouble and my brain working during this much needed break.

Congrats, NorCal! If I may ask, what kind of job prospects are there for those with a degree such as yours? Is it only government positions that most graduates pursue?

There are many different jobs such as City Emergency Manager, County Office of Emergency Response, Hospital Safety Officer, Risk Assessment Coordinator, ect . . .

Congrats! The Real Estate option should keep you busy for a few months. Good luck with the debt reduction so you can get back to your grad degree.

That's great to hear! What school did you attend? Are you a Former Air Force member? (3E9 by chance?)
