Built is the key term. No doubt that the endowment is currently fueled by donations and furthered by sound investment strategy.

It was built by sound investment strategy. It's fueled by a combination of tuition and donations with donations becoming the dominant fuel in the late 1700s/early 1800s. The further in the past you go the more of the mix had to do with tuition.

Give anyone money and it will depreciate with inflation. 700 pounds sterling and 400 books lost their value within 40 years. Its what people did thereafter with that value that resulted in the endowment.

    Best,

    I agree.

I just looked at their website and it looks gimmicky. I would look elsewhere. It looks like a site setup to capture people's information and sell it. Surely the OP has better options in the local state and private schools in the area. In NC, East Carolina has many good technical programs online. My advice is stay away from CTU unless you have no other alternatives.

    I would recommend looking at:

    East Carolina
    Bellevue
    UMass Lowell
    Northeastern
    Oregon Institute of Technology
    Liberty

And many other schools with a much better name appeal and transparency.
