Respected forum members, Given your tremendous support & guidance, I have been unconditionally accepted to Apen’s DSc Computer Science. I availed their pre-pay option & the program will cost me little over $7300. I have enrolled in first course & will be starting on 16/7/11. Any current DSc program students can join me. Can anybody reflect upon the content of the courses that may come across? If possible kindly share that what should be my strategy, to successfully pursue courses at Aspen. How much input might be expected from me by the instructors? What is the cheapest & quickest way to access Aspen’s Doctoral courses text books. Awaiting instruction. Regards
Best wishes to you. I see on one thread you are faculty and an Indian University. Will this degree assist you in your career in India or is it purely for personal growth?
Congratulations! Please do let us know how things go! I've been keeping an eye on this program since I heard of its existence (of course, via DegreeInfo). As a matter of fact, I just asked one of their (very friendly) admissions advisors some questions about the DSCS program earlier this week. (For the record, taking the GRE would probably not be helpful, and an MBA "counts" as a Master's degree for the purpose of admission. Now I just need that MBA...) Tom
Using DSCS for Associate Professorship position at University Respected Garp, I plan to use this degree to gain promotion to Associate Professorship position at University. I think there is no difference between DSCS and PhD in computer science. I anticipate that DSCS will take me to places and I will gain tremendous rise in academia.
