    Abner,
Correct me if I am wrong or not. Your unstated premise is that people who "go to church every Sunday" are somehow transformed into moral and ethical beings?

I was being sarcastic. Some of the most evil people go to church every Sunday.

Yes, I agree and there is no stereotypical church goer or non-church goer...all can be morally and ethically "good" or "bad". It is amazing how many leaders are morally and ethically lacking...of course it has probably been this way since the dawn of mankind.

Christians are no better than anyone else. More flawed even. They need Jesus Christ to save them from their sins.

How are they more flawed? Sounds like you are assuming something. Do you have any evidence that would show that Christians are more flawed? I do not think you do. Perhaps you are just expressing a biased and flawed opinion.

Just imagine how boorish his behavior would have been without the moderating effects of his weekly churchgoing. Don't write off the impact of having some religious affiliation in keeping people from acting in an otherwise totally depraved manner.

    Hey Wild Bill,

My intent was not to disparage any religion. I respect all religions. My sarcastic comment was merely to illustrate that merely going to church does not make a good person. Very few make the "world" their church, while practicing respect, reverance and humility on a daily basis.

    Have a good one,

    Abner :)

The really frustrating thing is that if this had been known at the time of the recall election, Schwarzenegger would never have won. And if it came out slightly after the election, at least there would have been attempts to invalidate the results. [Has this ever been done?] But after he's already gone . . . bah. D'you suppose Maria Shriver knew [or strongly suspected] when she gave her impassioned "stand by my man" talks? Where was TMZ when we needed them? And how close we came to nominating [and, who knows, electing] John Edwards. And what do we really know about Herman Cain and that Hooters girl [or was that someone else]?

I wonder if this would be as big of a deal if the "staffer" hadn't been a Hispanic maid? The media is trying to get a photo of the child but I don't think I've ever seen photos of his other 4 children. Rev. Jesse Jackson had a child out of wedlock with a staffer when he was 50 but it didn't seem to be as big of an issue.

Yeah, the Gropenator hood winked the masses. His history of treating women as his possessions should have been enough to end it right there. So he got to play Governor, all the while sinking CA even deeper.

A scumbag is a scumbag regardless of party affiliation.
