I think the combatants here could've been by this time well underway with UoL graduate degrees had they only expended their psychic energies on that rather than upon these pedantic arguments.

Have you ever noticed when a comment is preceded by this statement, the comment is always something that denotes little to no respect towards the person it is directed at?

It's the implied part that would be helpful.

"With all due respect" + implied: and very little of it is due...

Have you ever noticed that there's no other way to use the phrase?

It's short for: I know you're a special snowflake and are due the respect of a living and breathing human, but I'd rather use you to wipe my ass end after a montezuma's cleansing and I really can't hide it well so I'm going to question your general worth and why you're breathing air that could be used to keep my sperm alive so better people can procreate and solve the problem of you once and for all.

At least that's what it's short for when I use it :)

Oh come on Kizmet, IT wasn't even insulting anyone. Give him a break, he makes this place entertaining.

There are so many great sports teams in Boston. We're very lucky to be sports fans in Boston at this particular point in time. The Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots, and even the Bruins are making a solid run at the playoffs this year. Each sport has it's problems though. Lately there's been A LOT of talk about the safety of players, especially in regards to concussions. Nobody wants anybody to get hurt. There's lots of talk about improved safety equipment, even changing the rules of the game in order to keep everything as safe as possible. Mostly, however, it comes down to the players themselves. Knowing what to do and what not to do. What's a decent hit and what's a cheap shot. If a pitcher is going to hit a batter then he hits him on the thigh, and doesn't go for the head. It's all about the players knowing where the line is drawn. There's a difference between banter and insults. I'm drawing the line. For everyone. Maybe he'll be back. It's mostly up to him.

...and that difference will be explored in my 2354 page dissertation.

    In the USA, as well...

I am looking into the UofL, as well. On the surface, it seems to be ideal. I am somewhat surprised at the cost of the programs. If I am reading this correctly, a BA in History costs around US$16,000 which seems very inexpensive.

Do you have any comments on the pricing? All other factors seem very good.

It's a good value for the money, IF you can do it.

It's probably so inexpensive because there is no actual instruction taking place. It's essentially credit by examination for the entire degree.

I completed the Msc in Financial Economics in 2010.

I will echo what everyone else has said that it is hard and the exams are VERY difficult.

If you are not an excellent student capable of teaching yourself difficult material with no supervision, then this is not for you. Most American students are probably not ready for the tough UK grading. This is compounded by the fact that almost the entire grade is based on the hellish final exam so there's no margin for error.

I managed to pull out the equivalent of a 3.3 GPA at the end but I was admittedly surprised at the difficulty of the exams when I first sat for them. I learned a ton as a result, but I wouldn't recommend UofL for a unless you are very motivated and have a proven track record of success in difficult courses.

If you have any questions on specifics, I can help.

    Hello everyone.

It's an old thread but since I have the same question I thought I'd dig it out.

Does anyone have any more info on UoL's MSc in Organisational Psychology? I mean from people who have actually studied there.

Or if you found info elsewhere can you please redirect me to those sites?

    Thanks!

    Intl programs UoL

Well I am registered in this program and the only thing I know is that it is September and I haven't received my study materials yet plus I have no access to VLE although I have done everything. I have never seen anything more disorganized than this. I am not used to anyone playing with my education like this. Personally, I am so fed up I am transfering next year. Seriously they don't deserve to get any money for the nothing they do.
